Social Currency

Social currency is the value we attribute to the popularity of posts based on likes, views, comments, and other forms of self worth. This can be bad for teens as they only see the positives in peoples lives and try and mimics those people even if it isn't in their best interest. The video explores how we only see peoples highlights and how we compare highlights to our everyday lives. This causes depression and anxiety of people not living up to their self determined expectations.
